Beyond 9 to 5 is the second episode I worked on for Paltzcast! We interviewed animal communicator, Phyllis Lauer, to learn more about her unique profession! She shared many stories of conversations she's had with a wide variety of animals. She also shared tips with us on how to be better pet owners and even how to have a chat with your own pets!

Flora Fleisten's Guide to the Multiverse is an episode for Paltzcast, a podcast created entirely by SUNY New Paltz students in Brett Barry's podcasting class - this being the first of two episodes I worked on for this class! In this episode, follow Flora Fleisten, an intern at Hartnell Center for Interdimensional Operations, and her co-worker, Darell, on their adventures through the multiverse!

Spirit Box Story is a project created for my audio production class with Professor Brett Barry at SUNY New Paltz (Fall 2022) alongside Campbell Brown. We interviewed Erin Lefebvre, a friend well versed in the paranormal, and she conducted various spirit box sessions with us around our campus. We recorded both in a studio and in the field, wrote and recorded the voiceover, and edited the final cut using Pro Tools.

This is my good friend Olivia's story about her time as a foreign exchange student in Germany! She talks about how it all started, her highest and lowest points during her trip, and how COVID-19 flipped her world upside down. I recorded our interview and used Pro Tools to piece it together. This was a project for my Digital Storytelling Class at SUNY New Paltz (Spring 2021).

Journalism

Hope for the Future of the Local Live Music Scene In Spring of 2021, I wrote an article for my Journalism 1 course with Professor James Gormley about the future of the live music scene in and around the Hudson Valley. I interviewed Frank Pallett, owner of the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie at the time; and Alex Tripodi, who worked as a Live Nation Ambassador and has experience in booking DIY shows. An Investigation of COVID-19 Adoption Spikes a Year Later In Fall of 2021 I wrote an article about how the pandemic affected adoption rates of a local animal shelter for my Journalism 2 class with Professor James Gormley. For this, I interviewed Shelter Manager Jamie Martinez of Mid Hudson Animal Aid located in Beacon. The PDF to the left opens the article in another tab.

Glass Animals Explore Vulnerability in "Dreamland" A short review of Glass Animals' third studio album "Dreamland" that I wrote for my Arts Writing class with Professor Holly George Warren in Fall 2021. The PDF to the left opens the article in another tab.

Catching Up with Local Musician Noga Cabo This is a subject profile that I wrote about an incredibly talented individual for my Arts Writing Class with Professor Holly George Warren in Fall 2021. The PDF to the left opens the article in another tab.

The Lemon Squeeze: A Warm Atmosphere for Music Lovers of All Generations In Spring 2021, I interviewed Ed and Gina Caroll, owners of the Lemon Squeeze restaurant in New Paltz, about their plans for before they opened to the public.
